Puppet show at Danica's birthday party

We held Danica's second birthday party over the weekend, a little early, while all the grandparents were still in town. It's official - through the holidays and her birthday party, Dani has plowed through more sweets than in the entirety of her life beforehand! Never again will we be able to sneak cookies, cake or chocolate for ourselves under her nose! It'll take us weeks to undo the sweet tooth.

We had a nice reasonably-sized party group of toddlers+, parents and grandparents, so we didn't completely overwhelm our home. Danica showed a little possessiveness about her stuff, but there were no meltdowns and the kids mostly awed us with their sharing and participation! Besides eating cake, I think the favorite moments were when everyone danced to an old Sesame Street sing-a-long song, and when all the kids lined up to high-five the puppets after my little puppet show! Oh, and of course Rody was again a big hit until we had to stash him away for fear of a child getting too eager and bonking his/her head.

As always, we have too much media to post, but here's a look at the puppet show to start. Thanks to Kim for making the lion puppet!
